The ruling PTI has withdrawn the candidacy of Abdul Qadir for a general seat in Senate after criticism by Balochistan party leaders.
Reportedly, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said the party reviewed the decision and awarded Balochistan ticket to Zahoor Agha, the premier aide posted on Twitter. Prime Minister Imran Khan always listens to his people, he tweeted.

The party issued the list of its candidates for the upcoming Senate elections after approval by the PM. PTI members raised reservations about Abdul Qadir nominee for a general seat. Balochistan leadership held a press conference and raised their concerns over the matter.
Reports quoted regional president Nawab Khan as saying that the party issued ticket to a person who has nothing to do with it and the act is the violation of the party manifesto. Quetta president Munir Baloch made a request to PM Imran Khan for reviewing the decision and holding an inquiry.
