Man strangulates wife to death in Sarai Mughal

Police on Tuesday arrested a man who allegedly strangulated his wife to death in Sarai Mughal in district Kasur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, accused Mazhar Abbas, s/o Muhammad Ashraf, allegedly murdered his wife Zareena after strangulating her five days ago. Then the accused hid his wife’s body in a room. When the body started rotting and emitting foul smell, he dig out a hole to bury the body.

But when the smell of the rotten body diffused in the air, the neighbours got suspicious and gathered there. They informed the police.

Police reached his house within no time and arrested the accused red-handed. They took the body of the woman in their custody. 

After the arrest of Mazhar, police have started investigation.

The accused was living in a rented house with his wife. He rented the house 6-7 months ago.
