Despite the fact that much has changed in Pakistan over the last few decades, there is little change in the police’s attitude towards ordinary people in the country and a tendency in them to defy the law remains the same, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
An incident that took place on a bus in Sindh recently has once again proved that police personnel are as much stubborn as they were before.
A video of a policeman travelling on a bus, part of Sindh government’s people’s bus service, in Larkana without a ticket has gone viral on social media.
In the video, a bus conductor could be heard asking a policeman to give him Rs40 in return for a ticket. But the latter flatly refuses and insists that since he is in the police department, he can travel for free.
The conductor then tries to make him understand that since cameras are installed in the bus and everything is being recorded, therefore, he should show mercy on him and purchase a ticket, or otherwise, he will lose his job.
But the cop remains adamant and refuses to buy a ticket.
