Acting CJs of Islamabad, Sindh, Peshawar, Balochistan high courts take oath
The acting chief justices of Islamabad, Sindh, Peshawar and Balochistan high courts have taken oath of their offices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar took oath as the Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court at a ceremony in Islamabad on Friday.
President Asif Ali Zardari administered oath to him at a ceremony held at Aiwan-i-Sadr.
Separately, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered the oath to acting SHC Chief Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar at an oath-taking ceremony at the Governor’s House in Karachi.
KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath to Justice SM Atiq Shah as acting chief justice of Peshawar High Court.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Governor’s House in Peshawar, was attended by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Judges of the Peshawar High Court, lawyers, and officials also attended the ceremony.
In Quetta, Justice Ijaz Swati has taken oath as acting Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court.
Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jafar Mandokhel administered the oath to Justice Ijaz Swati.
