PCB chairman Naqvi reaches Colombo on ICC chief’s invitation

At the invitation of the International Cricket Council (ICC) President, Asian Cricket Council President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi has reached Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is accompanied by Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed Syed and PSL CEO Salman Naseer. 

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also expected to meet the Pakistan cricket team. The PCB chairman will watch the Pakistan-India match in Sri Lankan capital Colombo tomorrow. 

Earlier, ICC President Jay Shah invited Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to come to Colombo for witnessing the high-voltage Pakistan-India T20 World Cup clash to be played tomorrow (Sunday).

The sources said Mohsin would travel to the Sri Lankan capital for the Pakistan-India blockbuster match. He will also meet Pakistan cricket team before the match, the sources added.

The ICC has also invited BCCI officials for the match.

There is also a possibility of meeting between Mohsin Naqvi and Jay Shah and Indian board officials, the sources said and added that an invitation for witnessing Pakistan-India encounter was also sent to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Aminul Islam.
