Punjab govt forms special board to examine Nawaz’s medical reports

In pursuance of the federal government’s plan to bring former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif back from London where he had gone for his treatment, the Punjab government on Friday constituted a nine-member special medical board, consisting of senior professors, to examine the former prime minister’s medical report, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification issued by the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, the Board which will submit its report to the provincial government within five days, consists of Professor Dr. Arif Nadeem (the convener), Dr. Ghayyasul Nabi Tayyab, Professor Dr. Saqib Saeed, Professor Dr. Shahid Hameed, Professor Dr. Bilal S. Muhauiddin, Professor Dr. Ambreen Hamid, Professor Dr. Shafeequr Rehman, Professor Dr. Mona Aziz and Dr. Khadija Irfan Khawaja.
The doctors will study the 29-page medical report sent by Nawaz Sharif from London to Pakistan.
Only yesterday, January 13, 24News had reported that in order to bring the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, back from UK, the government had decided to form a Board to review the medical reports submitted by him to the Lahore High Court (LHC) to prove his multiple illnesses.
