Talat Zahid appointed senior manager procurement at Digital Economy Project
The federal government has appointed Talat Zahid Senior Manager Procurement at the Digital Economy Enhancement Project, according to an official notification issued on Wednesday.
Sources said that Talat Zahid has been appointed on a two-year contract basis. The notification was issued by the Establishment Division following the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The appointment is aimed at strengthening procurement and implementation mechanisms under the Digital Economy Enhancement Project, a key initiative to support Pakistan’s digital transformation.
Meanwhile, the Federal Cabinet, in a separate development, condemned recent acts of terrorism across the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a special address to the cabinet, drawing attention to terrorist activities allegedly linked to India in Balochistan.
The cabinet paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies in their continued fight against terrorism. Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the prime minister said that operations against terrorists and their facilitators would continue until terrorism is completely eliminated.
The prime minister emphasized that ensuring national security and stability remains a top priority, alongside efforts to strengthen governance and development initiatives across the country.
