He was giving a detailed briefing to the foreign journalists on Pakistan’s Afghan Policy on Wednesday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Moeed said Pakistan was trying to get all sides in Afghanistan to sit at the same table and decide the future of their country and for this purpose, they were working with four neighbouring countries. He also confirmed that Pakistan had no favourites in Afghanistan.

He further informed the journalists that Pakistan was holding talks with the Taliban and 12 other groups in Afghanistan for getting the purpose of peace in its neighbour.

The Advisor further stated, unfortunately, everyone was in the discussion of the political situation but no one was paying any attention to the economic condition of Afghanistan.

Moeed said India was financing armed groups in Afghanistan that would be used against Pakistan adding that in the Pak-Afghan trade agreement, Afghanistan did not seek a land route for India through the Wagah border of Pakistan.

He also confirmed that Pakistan could get the maximum benefit from Gwadar only when there is peace in Afghanistan.
