SC verdict exposed Imran Khan: Maryam Nawaz

July 14, 2022 10:23 PM

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said the Supreme Court verdict exposed former premier Imran Khan and his lies, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Addressing a rally in Kallar Syedan on Thursday, she said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is all set to announce oil price cut to provide people with relief from inflation because of the previous government’s incompetence.

She said his party-led coalition government made the difficult decision because of the previous government’s poor performance.

However, she added that the tough time is over. Good news will come to the people in the coming days.

She urged the government to try PTI leaders under Article 6.

She added her party will defeat incompetence, inflation, and corruption and the PML-N has already won.

“We owe a debt of service to the people and we will never disappoint the masses,” said the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif planned development while Imran Khan planned destruction, she said.

The PML-N leader said the PTI government came to power to end corruption while it looted public money.

The people will stamp this party out in the July 17 by-election, she said.

Later, Maryam Nawaz went to Khushaab where she received a warm welcome. Maryam expressed gratitude to the people of Khushaab for giving her a warm welcome.

Imran Khan is the first Pakistani politician who has been declared a liar by the Supreme Court, Maryam said, adding that the apex court judge maintained that PTI chairman Imran Khan breached the constitution of Pakistan.

She termed the decision “historic” and urged the coalition government to register a case of treason against the violator.

Maryam Nawaz said Article 6 should be applied against those who violated Pakistan’s constitution and cases of treason should be run against them.

PML-N had removed landmines laid by the “Fitna Khan”, she said adding that her party took difficult decisions with heavy heart.

She maintained the government has been striving hard to provide the people with relief.

Maryam said that farmers must vote for the 'lion' for the bright future of the agriculture sector ignored during the last four years.
