'We're just enjoying life': Travis Kelce breaks silence on Taylor Swift relationship

NFL star Travis Kelce has finally offered a glimpse into his high-profile relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift, breaking months of silence with a candid moment during a recent podcast appearance.

While speaking on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast with hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared rare insights into how things are going with Swift. The couple, who have made several public appearances together in recent months, have largely kept their relationship private until now.

“It gets thrown out there as if we're trying to seek attention every now and then,” Kelce admitted. “But it's like, we’re just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games. Kind of introducing her to some more of the sports world.”

He added: “We’re having fun with it, man being a couple.”

Kelce, 35, also discussed his mindset heading into what could be his final NFL season. After briefly considering retirement following what he described as a disappointing year, the veteran athlete is ready to push harder.

“I still feel like I can play at a high level and possibly even higher than last year,” he said. “I don’t think it was my best outing. I want to give it a good run.”

Taylor Swift spoke publicly about her relationship with Travis Kelce for the first time in her December 2023 interview with TIME magazine, calling it “metal as hell” when he mentioned her on his podcast and revealing they “started hanging out right after that.”

In the same interview, she opened up about how their relationship progressed. She said they began seeing each other privately after Travis’s playful podcast shout-out, and by her first Chiefs game in September 2023, “we were a couple.”

She also spoke candidly about their now-public romance, saying: “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves…we’re just proud of each other. We don’t care what others think."
