Suspect killed, other injured in police encounter in Karachi

One suspect was gunned down, while another got seriously injured during police encounter in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The encounter took place near Nullah Patti in Korangi area of Karachi. 

The slain suspect was identified as Ismail, who was allegedly involved in the murder of a citizen named Mohammad Ismail on July 5.

SSP Korangi Fida Hussain Janwari said that the arrested suspect had been identified as Mehmoodullah.

Korangi police also recovered a 30- bore pistol, a stolen mobile phone and currency notes from their possession.

CCTV footage of the incident is also available with the police.

Body found from Bohra Pir flat 

In another incident, rescuers found body of a man with his throat slit from Bohra Pir flat in Karachi.

The deceased, who was later identified as Mustafa, was 34 and was a drug addict and mentally sick.

The man slit his throat with a knife.

The father of the deceased is a butcher.

Later, the police shifted the dead body to the Civil Hospital for autopsy and necessary procedure.

In another incident, police found an injured man who had been shot in the body. 

Police shifted the man to Civil Hospital for treatment.
