Younis Khan named commissioner for KP Champions League
Grand launch ceremony is scheduled for 18 July at Peshawar Cricket Stadium: Rahim Shah and Aima Baig will perform during the opening event
Former Pakistan cricket captain Younis Khan has joined the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League after being appointed as the league commissioner, the 24NewsHD TV channel reproted on Tuesday.
According to the TV channel, in his new role, Younis Khan will oversee the league's rules and regulations, along with other administrative and operational matters, as preparations continue for the inaugural edition of the tournament.
The league's official launch ceremony will be held on 18 July at the Peshawar Cricket Stadium. Renowned singers Rahim Shah and Aima Baig are scheduled to perform during the event.
Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi are expected to attend the ceremony. Organisers will also unveil the complete schedule for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League.
