Ex-District Nazim, MPA Ghulam Haider Thind passes away

Former Member of the Provincial Assembly, former District Nazim of Layyah, and senior political figure Malik Ghulam Haider Thind passed away after a prolonged illness, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to family members, the veteran politician had been unwell for a considerable period and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

His funeral prayers were offered at 6:00 pm on June 14 at Milad Ground, Layyah, where a large number of political leaders, social figures, religious personalities, and local residents attended. 

Malik Ghulam Haider Thind was regarded as one of the most influential political and social figures in Layyah district.

He remained actively involved in public service and local politics for many years, earning recognition for his close engagement with community issues.

During his political career, he served as a member of the provincial assembly and later as District Nazim, playing a significant role in the area's development and in efforts to address public concerns.
