Without naming MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Health Minister and MQM-P leader Syed Mustafa Kamal said on Sunday that if the party head would seek an extension in his term, workers of the party would not be able to get their rights, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he accused Siddiqui of secretly approaching the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the purpose. “A leader seeking extension, cannot get his party’s workers their rights,” he said, and stated categorically that the MQM-P was not any specific individual’s property.

He said he would take on those who preferred their party positions to the party workers.

Commenting on the verdict given by the Supreme Court (SC) in the Baldia Town factory fire case, Kamal said that the decision had vindicated the party’s stance.
