Petrol, diesel prices like to go up once again from March 16

The government may increase the prices of petroleum products up to Rs6 per litre from March 16.
According to sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the government for an increase in the prices of petroleum products. The OGRA has proposed a Rs5 per litre increase in the price of petrol, Rs6 per litre in the price of high speed diesel and light diesel and Rs4.50 in the price of kerosene oil.
The Finance Ministry would give its opinion on the taxes being collected on the sale of petroleum products. The final decision on increase in the prices of petroleum products will be taken after prime minister’s approval.
