In a major development in the case of alleged murder of a diehard PTI worker, Ali Bilal alias Zille Shah, during the PTI’s ‘save judiciary rally’ in Lahore, two suspects in the case on Tuesday confessed in a court to have killed him in the car accident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Admitting that it was after his collision with their car that Zille died, Jahanzeb and Umar, however, said they did not do it intentionally, and it was merely an accident.
They further said that immediately after the accident they reported to the PTI’s Raja Shakeel.
They further said that Shakeel told them to change their get-up hide themselves.
Zille had died during the PTI’s rally on March 8. The PTI blamed it on police torture.
The Punjab government, too, initially called it a murder, and even went to the extent of filing a murder case against Imran Khan. But later said it was an accident.
The death of Zille created an outrage across the country.
