Defence Minister Kh Asif welcomes improving ties between Center, KP

Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday said that it is a good sign that the federation and the provinces are jointly solving problems of the people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media in the Parliament House on Thursday, Khawaja Asif, in an apparent reference to yesterday’s meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, said that it was certainly a step in the right direction.

He further said that instead of depending on the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government should put its own house in order first.

“If everything goes well, there is no need to go to the IMF,” Khawaja Asif said.

He said that the newly formed government had the cure for our problems and affliction.
