JazzCash customers can now link their debit cards to Google Wallet

JazzCash customers can now link their debit cards to Google Wallet, giving over 13 million active app users the ability to make secure and seamless tap-to-pay transactions. By adding their JazzCash debit cards to Google Wallet, users can turn their smartphones into convenient payment tools for easy person-to-merchant (P2M) transactions.

This integration with Google Wallet enhances JazzCash's already diverse range of payment options, which includes QR payments, tap-to-pay services, online payments, and debit cards. Customers can choose from three available debit card options: the Mastercard Debit Card, the Women’s Debit Card, and the Virtual Debit Card. The Virtual Debit Card can be instantly created within the JazzCash app, while physical cards can be ordered through the app or via USSD, subject to a one-time issuance fee.

Google Wallet provides multiple layers of security through tokenization technology, which substitutes sensitive card data with a dynamic, device-specific virtual card number. This ensures that even if a token is intercepted, it cannot be used for fraudulent transactions. Additionally, users can protect their accounts with ‘Find My Device’ to lock their phone or remotely erase personal information in case of theft or loss.

JazzCash’s innovative approach continues to receive international recognition.
