PM Shehbaz Sharif appoints Shabir Ahmed Usmani as SAFRON Coordinator 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed senior PML-N leader Shabir Ahmed Usmani as the coordinator for the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON).

Previously, Usmani served as the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan affairs. His new responsibilities were officially communicated to him by the Prime Minister during a meeting two days ago.

Following the Prime Minister’s directives, the Establishment Division has issued a formal notification confirming Usmani’s appointment as the SAFRON coordinator, along with his continued role overseeing Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan affairs.

Expressing gratitude for the new role, Usmani stated, "I am thankful to the Prime Minister, and, God willing, I will fulfill this trust with dedication."
