Fake manufacturing unit of famous tea brand raided in Rawalpindi

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has raided a fake manufacturing unit of a well-known tea brand and confiscated 100 open tea packages and 96 kilograms of the same brand in Rawalpindi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

The manufacturing unit of a famous tea brand was located in the Ratta Amral area of Gang Mandi in Rawalpindi.

According to details, a PFA team rafter receiving credible information, raided the fake manufacturing unit. 

During the raid, the PFA team seized 200 kilograms of Koran, which was being packed in packets of a renowned tea brand.

PFA team arrested the owner of the godown, who was later identified as Usman Raza, and his employee Ahsan Hussain on the site.

The PFA team said that fake tea was being manufactured, but the timely action of the Pakistan Food Authority foiled their plans.

The fake tea was being prepared to sell it on Eid al-Fitr.
