Food inspector fired after 53,596 wheat bags go missing in Kashmore

Secretary Food Sindh terminated Food Inspector Kashmore Yousaf Malik, alias DC Malik, after 53,695 bags of wheat were found missing from a wheat godown in Kashmore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, the Sindh Food Secretary took this decision after many reports surfaced that a huge quantity of wheat bags were missing from the godown.
The Secretary also directed to recover Rs7.50 million from the official over his involvement in this scam.
It is necessary to mention here that an anti-corruption department team raided a wheat godown in Kashmore last month.
Sources said that there are chances that strict action will be taken against other persons who were involved in this scam.
