Two-hour flight operation suspension at Islamabad Airport announced

There will be no flight operation at the Islamabad International Airport on March 16, from 8:30 AM till 10:30 AM in the morning, due to operational reasons, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the NOTAM issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority on Saturday, six sectors of the Lahore Flight Information Region would not be available on March 16. 

In view of possible delays in landing, pilots were directed to keep stocks of additional fuel.

On Thursday, 24News TV channel had reported that the flight operation at Islamabad International Airport would remain suspended for a few hours today.

Sources told the 24News TV channel that the NOTAM had been issued in view of preparations for a parade on 23rd of March.

According to the NOTAM issued by the PAA, some of the routes in Lahore flight information region will not be temporarily available due to which the flight operation will remain suspended at the airport from 10:00 AM in the morning to 1:15 AM in the afternoon.

The NOTAM further said that airlines had been directed to keep stocks of additional fuel in view of possible delays in landing.
