PML-N asks Shahzad to present corruption evidence before court

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said the NAB-Niazi nexus wouldn’t have waived fake documents at the PID (Public Information Department) if they had any evidence of corruption.
In a statement, she said media was used to insult, spread lies and level against allegations against political opponents. The NAB-Niazi’s nexus failure in courts has now turned into media trial, she remarked.
Marriyum was commenting on the Wednesday’s presser held by Shahzad Akbar – adviser to the PM on accountability – in which he levelled corruption allegations against PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif.
Why the NAB-Niazi nexus withdrew their petition in the Supreme Court if they had corruption proof, she said, asking the government to explain the link between Shehbaz and the businesses, companies and cheques that Shahzad had mentioned.
The rented Shahzad Akbar should bring these cheques and companies before the court, not in the PID, the PML-N spokesperson maintained.
She also asked Shahzad to hold his press conference Imran’s secret 23 accounts worth billions and present the foreign funding cheques signed by Imran, which had become part of the State Bank record.
Shahzad also make public the record related to Imran’s money laundering, which was kept secret in the Election Commission, Marriyum advised.
