Hyundai hikes car prices in Pakistan

After rise in prices of Toyota and Suzuki vehicles, Hyundai Nishat Motors has also announced a massive hike in the prices of Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Sonata in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The company increased the prices of these vehicles due to the constant devaluation of Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

Hyundai Elantra price

The company raised the price of Hyundai Elantra 2.0 in Pakistan to Rs4,949,000 from the old price of Rs4,799,000 by Rs150,000. Meanwhile, the price of Hyundai Elantra 1.6 will remain unchanged at Rs4,299,000.

Sonata price

Hyundai has also increased the price of Hyundai Sonata. According to the notification, the price of Hyundai Sonata 2.5 in Pakistan has been increased by Rs100,000 to the new price of Rs7,849,000 from the old rate of Rs7,749,000. Meanwhile, the price of Hyundai Sonata 2.0 in Pakistan has been increased to Rs4,999,000 from the old rate of Rs4,859,000 by Rs140,000.

Tucson price

The company has not announced an increase in the price of Hyundai Tucson. The current price of the vehicle is Rs5,799,000 for the base model, which is the Tucson FWD, while the price of Tucson AWD is Rs6,299,000.

Porter price

Hyundai Porter has witnessed an increase in its price by Rs150,000 for all models. According to the notification, the price of Hyundai Porter is Rs2,949,000 (High-Deck), Rs2,929,000 (Flat-Deck), and Rs2,909,000 (Deckless).

It is pertinent to mention that other car manufacturers, including Pak Suzuki, Prince, Honda Atlas and Changan Pakistan have also announced hike in their car prices recently.

The company has increased the prices of Hyundai Tucson in March and Hyundai Elantra in April, 2022. So, it means it was the third price hike in last two months.
