Man shot dead, daughter injured outside Karachi school

A man was shot dead while his daughter was injured when an unidentified armed assailant opened fire on them near a school building in Karachi on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police sources said the incident occurred near Pilot School located in Gol Market area of Nazimabad No. 3 in Karachi.

Police sources further revealed that as soon as the ill-fated man reached the school to drop his daughter the gunman who was waiting outside the school opened fire on them.

The man died on the spot and his daughter became seriously injured in the firing incident.

Soon after the incident, heavy contingent of police reached the area and shifted the dead man and injured girl to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Hospital.

Sources said that the incident took place due to old rivalry.

After the incident, the accused fled away from the scene. Police collected empty bullets from the crime scene.

Further investigation was in progress.
