Pakistan witnesses surge in auto sales
Pakistan witnessed a 40 percent increase in sale of vehicles during the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to a report, as many as 1,11,332 vehicles were sold during first ten months of fiscal year 2025 while 79,592 vehicles were sold in the same period of previous fiscal year 2024.
Five percent decrease was registered in sale of vehicles during the month of April 2025 and one percent on yearly basis (YoY).
During the month of April 2025, 10,596 vehicles were sold. As many as 1,35,721 motorcycles and rickshaws were sold in April 2025 with 26 percent increase.
In April 2024, only 1,759 rickshaw and motorcycles were sold.
In April 2025 production of tractors was decreased by 48 percent and only 1602 units were produced.
In April 2024 3083 tractors were sold. During the month of April 2025, 127 percent increase was witnessed in sale of trucks and buses. Only 520 units were sold in April 2024 only 229 units of truck and buses were sold.
