Yashma Gill welcomes Ashweria, thanks Hania Aamir
Actress Yashma Gill has welcomed a new furry companion into her life and shared a touching note along with adorable photos with fans and followers.
Taking to Instagram, Yashma introduced her new cat, Ashweria, following the devastating loss of her beloved pet, Jojo.
Alongside a series of photos featuring the new cat and her close friend Hania Amir, Yashma penned an emotional message, saying: “Losing Jojo felt like losing a part of my own body. I was shattered, devastated, and in complete shock.”
According to Yashma, she has found comfort in the arrival of Ashweria, a male cat with a name that holds sentimental value.
“I will love you forever and already your sweet little eyes have carved out a big place in my heart and life,” she shared. “Welcome, Ashweria (yes, I know it’s a male cat – but I’m sure you all get the backstory). You came into my life in Jojo’s memory and farewell, and that makes it an even bigger responsibility for me to give you nothing but the best of the best.”
She also took a moment to appreciate her best friend, actress Hania Aamir, who played a key role in helping her heal. “While the pain may never fully fade, what my best friend, my sister, did to ease the grief reminded me of how truly lucky I am to have such beautiful people in my life,” Yashma added. “She brought light back into my world through the tiny paws of a new soul.”
“Love you, my lil munchkin. And thank you once again for saving my heart when it was breaking.”
The post, complete with tender snapshots of Ashweria cuddling up and a cheerful moment shared with Hania Amir, received an outpouring of love from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
Last week, Yashma Gill shared a post mourning the demise of her cat Jojo, stressing: "Jojo wasn't just a cat. He was my baby, my family, my everything. He was there for me through times of joy and heartbreak, with his quiet love and knowing eyes. He depended on me, trusted me, loved me unconditionally, and I did the same. He made my house a home, my heart a little fuller, my life a little brighter. Losing him feels like losing a child and a part of my soul.”
