The first snowfall in the northern areas of the country Monday spread a white sheat everywhere following the temperature drop below the freezing point, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

After the snowfall, many areas experienced a temperature drop below the freezing point. The severity of cold increased in various regions after showers of rain.

Leepa valley, Babusar top and other northern valleys wore a white veil of snow over them.

The rain and snowfall in Kashmir started to drop the weather towards the freezing point.

The Hattian Bala area received heavy rain showers whereas the northern mountain range of Leepa valley was covered with a foot of snow besieging the locals to their houses.

The natives of Babusar top, Thak valley and Darel Tangir started migrating towards the plain areas after the very first snowfall of the season.

Skardu and its surroundings along with Malam Jabba Swat experienced the season’s first snowfall whereas Mingora and its surroundings faced heavy downpours after intervals.

Abbottabad and its surroundings also received rain showers which dropped the temperature further below whereas the snowfall in Galyat and Thandiani took it below the freezing point.

Khangah Dogran, Pakpatan, Nankana, Kharian, Jhelum, Chunnian and other areas of Punjab also received heavy showers. The first drizzle of winter season in Lahore made the weather very pleasantly cold.
