Unknown attackers fired four shots at former hockey Olympian Imran Shah in Gojra leaving him critically injured on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Imran Shah was shifted to THQ Gojra hospital in a serious condition.

The attackers came in a car but after firing they fled leaving behind their vehicle at the crime scene. 

Gojra City SHO Ejaz Khokhar reached the spot and launched an investigation into the attack. 

Pertinent to note that Imran Shah was part of the Pakistani contingent in the 2012 London Olympics.

Hockey goalkeeper has represented Pakistan in multiple matches at the international fora.
