Dar says his meeting with IMF officials was very productive

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Thursday held meetings with International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) officials in Washington and declared his sittings with them very productive.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar along with his delegation met IMF Deputy Managing Director of the IMF Antoinette Sayeh.

In the meeting, the debt program between Pakistan and IMF was negotiated while the issue of implementation of the loan program was also discussed.
The finance minister thanked the IMF for the relief given to Pakistan for economic stability and assured the government's commitment to the implementation of the IMF programme.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met Counselor to the Secretary on International Affairs David Lipton and briefed him about the challenges faced by the country's economy after the flood.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to the USA Masood Khan was also present in the meeting.

Ishaq Dar along with his delegation held a meeting with World Bank (WB) President David Malpass and Vice President Martin Razor.
Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and State Minister for Finance Ayesha Ghos Pasha were also present at the meeting.
The Finance Minister apprised the WB of the challenges faced by the Pakistani economy after the devastating floods in the country.
