CM Naqvi, Info Minister Solangi discuss issues relating to media industry, journalists

Federal Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi on Saturday called on Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi and discussed the issues confronting the media industry as well as the steps being taken for the welfare of journalists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said for the first time in the country’s history an endowment fund of Rs1 billion had been set up for the welfare of journalists. “The Punjab government is also striving to resolve all other issues confronting the people associated with the media industry,” he added.

Solangi praised the steps the provincial government was taking for the well-being of people. “You are working 24/7 to provide relief to people,” the minister said, adding that development projects were being completed at a rapid pace courtesy ‘Mohsin speed’. 

Punjab Minister for Information Amir Mir and secretary information were also present at the meeting.
