Metro bus service partially restored in Rawalpindi, Islamabad

The metro bus service operating between Rawalpindi and Islamabad was partially restored on Tuesday after days of suspension, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to authorities, in the first phase, metro operations have resumed from Saddar Station to Kashmir Highway, allowing commuters partial access to the intercity route. However, service between Faiz Ahmed Faiz Station and Pak Secretariat remains suspended until further notice.

Officials said the remaining segment will be reopened in the second phase once ongoing maintenance and repair work is completed. “Full operations will resume after safety inspections and system checks are finalized,” an official added.

Meanwhile, mobile internet services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have also been partially restored after a two-day suspension

 imposed due to security concerns. Connectivity has been reported in most areas of the twin cities, although users in certain localities continue to experience slow or intermittent access.
