September 14, 2022 09:49 PM

Former accountability aide Shahzad Akbar has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court making a request for directing NAB to record his statement on a video link.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, Shahzad Akbar submitted that he was living and working in London.

“The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started an inquiry against me and sent me a notice. I told it that I can give a statement on video link but the bureau did not respond to my request,” he added.

NAB be directed to give me an opportunity to record my statement on the video link, he pleaded.

He also made a request to the court for issuing orders to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

The government has placed Shahzad Akbar’s name on ECL at the request of NAB last month.
