PM hands over sugar advisory board charge to ministry of industry
Anwarulhaq Kakar Wednesday withdrew charge of Sugar advisory board from the national food security ministry over their incompetence in regulation of sugar production and prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PM Kakar approved giving the charge of sugar advisory board to the Ministry of Industry and Production.
The inclusion of the sugar advisory board in the rules of business schedule-ii was also approved.
The charge of the sugar board was handed over to the national food security ministry in August 2022.
The Sugar Advisory Board established in 1991 has not yet been given legal status till date.
