No tolerance for artificial inflation in flood-hit areas: Finance Minister

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said there is no tolerance for artificial inflation in flood-hit areas.

The minister visited flood-affected areas of Kamalia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 
Talking to the media, the Finance Minister said the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal are also visiting the flood-affected areas. 

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said the rehabilitation of flood victims is the top priority. A survey is underway to estimate the damage caused by the flood, the finance minister added.

He said, the Prime Minister has declared an agricultural and climatic emergency.' 
The federal finance minister said that the first thing to do is to help the flood victims. 

Aurangzeb said the government will do whatever it has to do to deal with climate change.
'We will work in consultation with the provinces to deal with climate change,' the finance minister said.

He said measures are needed regarding agriculture and population. The government will not allow artificial inflation under the guise of floods, the finance minister said.
