One dacoit dead, another injured in Islamabad police encounter

Two dacoits who were riding on a motorcycle became seriously wounded and one later died in the hospital after an exchange of fire with a police team, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The firing incident took place in the jurisdiction of Noon Police Station of Islamabad.

Police sources said that they signaled a suspicious motorcycle to stop, but the accused started firing on the police team.

Police also fired on them in retaliation, after which both dacoits became critically injured. Police arrested both dacoits and shifted them to the hospital. But one dacoit died in the hospital due to serious injuries.
