Former PTI minister Ali Zaidi arrested over money dispute

Former  PTI minister Ali Zaidi has been arrested over a money dispute, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to sources, the Ibrahim Hyderi police registered the case on the complaint of a citizen, Fazl Elahi.

The lawmen have started piecing together evidence to take the case to a logical end, the sources added.

The PTI leaders showed solidarity with Zaidi and condemned the arrest while supporters and activities started protests against the arrest.

According to the complainant, he has been in the real estate business since 2006. He added Ali Zaidi and he has been in a joint venture in real estate since 2013.

He said he gave Ali Zaidi Rs180 loan in 2013 and got an Rs167.5 plot file under an agreement ensuring the return of the rest within 6 months.

Fazl said the plot file was fake, making him approach the police. The arrest of the PTI leader invited ire among his colleagues and supporters.
