Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Sunday vehemently condemned the unjust treatment meted out to PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that these actions were politically motivated and devoid of any factual basis.
Speaking to the media in Swabi, Gohar asserted that the "bogus" cases were registered against the party founder and deposed premier.
"The PTI founder is being subjected to big injustice as fake cases have been made against him."
Barrister Gohar highlighted the admission of the prosecution to the court, underscoring the lack of sustainability in the decisions rendered.
He added: "The cases lodged against him are based on political grounds. The three verdicts were given in five days. We were not allowed to present the evidence."
Khan said: "We have full confidence in the courts as the cases will be ended."
He recalled that the judges used to listen to the case for fourteen hours and only had a break for ten minutes.
He lamented the lack of opportunities for cross-examination and the denial of presenting crucial evidence, deeming these as glaring injustices in Khan Sahib's legal battle.
Despite the ordeal, Barrister Gohar expressed unwavering confidence in the High Court's ability to deliver justice. He pledged to tirelessly advocate for Imran Khan‘s release.
“PTI founder himself remained resolute in the face of adversity, asserting his determination to remain in his homeland and fight for his principles.”
