Punjab govt to allocate Rs71bn for “Special Programme” in budget 2026-27

The Punjab government will allocate an amount of Rs71 billion for the “Special Programme” aimed at the development and facilitation of the people of the province in Budget 2026-27, reported 24News HD TV Channel.

According to details, Digital Punjab and e-governance projects will be part of this project. Special funds will be allocated for improvement in the education and health sectors.

Public transport, upgradation of infrastructure, clean drinking water, skill development programmes, and generating employment opportunities are likely to be included.

Various other programmes, including green energy and environmental protection, will be included in “Special Programme”.
