A 14-year-old boy affected by poliovirus died at Mayo Hospital Lahore though he was administered vaccine drops, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

This latest fatality took the tally to three deaths so far by poliovirus in Punjab this year.

The TV channel reported that the boy belonged to UC-30 of Ravi Town.

Among three deaths from poliovirus two were reported in Lahore.

The TV channel reported quoting its sources that despite administering polio vaccine drops the boy was affected by the poliovirus.

As per the National Health Department, the deceased was paralyzed from legs and arms due to the poliovirus.
