Dolphin Squad guns down ex-cop fleeing after shooting mule in Lahore

A man lost his life in a shootout with Dolphin Squad near Lakshmi Chowk in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Monday.

The deceased is identified as Kamran, a former cop who was dismissed.

Kamran came to Lakshmi Chowk along with his brother-in-law Ghazanfar, sources in the police said, adding that Ghazanfar was a heroin addict who used to buy drugs from Peter Masih.

Kamran forbade Patras Masih to give drugs to Ghazanfar but the latter refused to do so, the insiders said, adding that Kamran opened fire and injured Patras Masih.

As soon as Dolphin officials showed up, they fired shots leaving Kamran dead on the spot and injuring Ghazanfar.

The injured were shifted to a hospital. DIG Operations Afzal Ahmed Kausar took notice and sought a report.
