CM Naqvi lays foundation stone for hoisting Pak's tallest flag
Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi Monday laid the foundation stone for a 500-foot-tall tower to hoist the tallest national flag in Liberty Chowk, Lahore, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, DC Lahore Rafia Haider, and other officials were present on the occasion.
The chief minister was also briefed about the project.
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said while talking to the media that he has decided to lay the foundation to erect the tallest tower to hoist the Pakistani flag on this 76th Pakistan Independence Day.
Mohsin clarified that the government would not spend even a single rupee for this project. “Together with the private sector and PHA, they are ensuring the erection of the national symbol in Liberty Chowk,” he added.
