Two dacoits were killed in a police encounter early Thursday morning in the limits of Balochni police station in Jaranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, four dacoits were trying to flee after snatching a motorcycle and cash from a citizen.

When the police chased the dacoits, the dacoits fired directly at the police. Two dacoits were injured by the robbers' own firing who later succumbed to their injuries, police said.

Police said both slain dacoits were identified as Atif and Shoaib.

However, after firing two dacoits managed to escape from the crime scene.
