Education Dept to look into Punjab schools funds after corruption revealed

The Punjab School Education Department has formed 40 committees to inspect government schools after corruption in funds and fake enrollment revealed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Additional Director Naveed Aslam, Divisional Director Talat Mahmood and Section Officer Faiza Irshad are included for the inspection of Lahore district.
The said committees will also inspect schools of PEF and PEMA.
The school council will check the non-salary budget, matriculation results and number of teachers and students.
DEOs will pay review visits, check cleanliness and dangerous buildings.
Strict action will be taken if incompetence, corruption and fake enrollment are found during the inspection.
