Car bomb defused in Karachi’s Clifton area

A car bomb was defused on Tuesday in Karachi, saving the megacity from major destruction, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The personnel of the law-enforcing agencies defused the improvised explosive device (IED) fitted in the double-cabin car in Karachi’s Clifton area. The accused had fixed the remote-controlled device in the vehicle with the help of a magnet, which was separated from the vehicle by the bomb disposal squad personnel.

Two people including a Chinese national were present in the vehicle.

The incident took place near China Town opposition Bilawal House.
The bomb disposal squad will confirm how much explosive material was attached to the device. Police are continuing the further investigation.
