The Karachi police appeared to have been clueless about the whereabouts of a schoolgirl, went missing on the way to school in the morning on January 25.

According to father of 12-year-old Shumaila Dero, a Class-V student, his daughter went to school on January 25, and did not return. Resident of Pipri area of Malir, Karachi, he said they have no enmity with anyone. He suspected that his daughter might have been abducted, but fell short of mentioning his suspicion about anyone.

He regretted that though the Bin Qasim Police have registered an abduction case against unidentified suspects, the police failed to made any headway in her recovery, despite lapse of 22 days.

He appealed to the Sindh CM, the IG Police and City Police Officer to order the police to locate his daughter at the earliest.
