Expressing strong displeasure over the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) health department, Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan on Tuesday said that the state of the department was worse as ‘incompetent’ people were being appointed on important posts there on the basis of likes and dislikes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The CJ wondered as to what the government was doing with the department as it was going downhill with each passing day. “If the same state of affairs persists, the situation will deteriorate further,” the CJ expressed the fear.
Additional Advocate General Iskandar Shah, on the occasion, assured the court that the director-general (DG) of the department would be appointed in the coming days on a permanent basis.
