PTI MNA offers electricity transformers in exchange for vote in Lower Dir 

In a sheer ‘violation’ of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) code of conduct, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA from Lower Dir Muhammad Bashir urged the people of his constituency to vote for his party in upcoming local bodies’ polls in exchange for installation of electricity transformers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Some videos of MNA Muhammad Bashir asking people to vote for his party in the second phase of KP local government elections in exchange for installation of transformers in their area has appeared on the social media. 

In the videos it could be seen that addressing a rally organised for election campaign in Maidan, Muhammad Bashir said to people: “I have got 50 transformers which I am giving to you. Had you expressed your demand for the transformers earlier, you would have got them by now.”

He also told the people that 100 transformers would be provided to them in two phases. “If you want to get 100 transformers at once, you will have to wait a little.”

He asked the people to keep in mind that the transformers being provided to them in exchange for their vote to the PTI. “You yourself can choose and make successful the candidates for Village Council elections. And always remember the symbol of Bat, for these very councilors will solve your day-to-day problems,” he said to people.
