The federal cabinet ministers belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have decided to work without salaries keeping in view the severe economic crisis confronting the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

Filled with a sense of patriotism, the PML-N ministers have decided not to get their salaries in view of dire economic situation. 

The ministers included: 12 federal ministers and three state ministers of federal cabinet. 

These PML-N ministers will work on voluntary basis. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz who himself is advocating for austerity measures, has already accepted the request of 14 of his special assistants who wanted to work without any remunerations and on voluntary basis. 

This is the first time in the history of Pakistan that so many ministers are working without salaries.
