Govt may hike petrol price by Rs1.47 and diesel by Rs7 today

Amid hike in global oil prices, Government is planning to increase the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan on Thursday, 24NewsHD TV channel.

The price of petrol is expected to rise Rs1.47 while light diesel may jump Rs 7 for the next fortnight from Feb 16, 2024. After the revision in prices, new price of petrol is expected to reach Rs275.86 from the current Rs272.79 while light diesel price may jump from Rs278.96 to Rs288.16 for the next fortnight from Feb 16, 2024.

The government was revising petrol and diesel prices as tension in Middle East was driving the global oil prices up.

After the notification by OGRA, the implementation on new prices will start from 12am at midnight.
